Re: Direct link to topic when sub-forum image clicked on?

What I've mentioned above I've noticed has also been mentioned several times at phpBB.com now. I've had absolutely no time to work on this of late so it'll be interesting to see if this missing feature (which worked in phpBB2 with Simple Subforums MOD) gets implemented. <!-- s;) --><img src="{SMILIE...

Direct link to topic when sub-forum image clicked on?

When I had phpBB2, I also has Simple subforums MOD installed. From the board index, you could click on the subforum image and it would take you direct to the latest post of a topic in that subforum. With phpBB3, when subforum image is clicked on, it takes you to forum selected! Missing that handy sh...

Re: Wheeee, new website!

Great website (yeah I know, mentioned it before but this was last year before phpBBmodders changed layout and style lol). Looking for a new style at my site but with so many available and many of my members being women, I probably have to tread carefully lol. Used to have blue and pink aphrodite in ...

Re: Can my members still use phpBB2 add-ons?

I covered myself from beginning to end with regards to doing the conversion from phpBB2 to phpBB3. I set up a test forum and did a trial run first. I then went through everything to do with MCP, ACP and UCP, permissions, new forums, etc, etc. Thereafter installed some MOD's (Board3 Portal and a few ...

Re: Pets?

Sadly, we rehomed Honey just before we moved to a brand new build eco house exactly a year ago. With Jack Russells, they have a tendency to nip. Honey also had a heart problem so having five kids at home aged between 1 and 10 equals a lot of activity and Honey got over-excited and ended up biting ou...

Re: Hi all and what a great site! ;)

Been a while since last visit to this site. Been busy with one thing or another. How are we all? What's changed? Well, the community website I did, I've recently revamped (<!-- m --><a class="postlink" href="http://www.cliftonpark.org.uk">http://www.cliftonpark.org.uk</a><!-- m -->) and resides on m...

Re: Can my members still use phpBB2 add-ons?

Thank you! Least I know what needs to be left behind in phpBB2 now. <!-- s:D --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_e_biggrin.gif" alt=":D" title="Very Happy" /><!-- s:D --> It would be a real shame if Hangman isn't developed for phpBB3. I'd do it except I only know the basics of php. One final question w...

Re: Can my members still use phpBB2 add-ons?

Thanks for the fast response! I have emailed the developer of Hangman and posted at various forums asking about the possibility of Hangman being converted for phpBB3 but had no response. It is VERY popular with my Members. <!-- s:) --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_e_smile.gif" alt=":)" title="Smile"...

Can my members still use phpBB2 add-ons?

Not the best of "subject" description I know but putting it simply, I have quite a few add-ons on my phpBB2 site which some are not available for phpBB3. I won't actually be looking to switch to phpBB3 until around December. What I need to know is, once I've switched to phpBB3 (all the for...

Re: Wheeee, new website!

Great new website and congrats to all! One thing though.... it's still going to be sometime before I switch to phpBB3 as many of the add-ons / MOD's I have are not yet available for this. Hangman is one game that is REALLY popular with my members but no sign of a version for phpBB3. <!-- s:( --><img...

Re: Pets?

Always had a pet at some stage over the years. Fish, hamsters, canaries, cats and dogs. What we have now, who is over a year old now, is our Jack Russell called Honey Bee (don't ask - blame the kids). Below is a pic when she was a pup. Have to find another when I get the chance. Honey is one very so...

Re: Hi all and what a great site! ;)

You're right. I should set aside time as after all, getting to know phpBB in-depth and php is in my interest especially for tweaks and stuff. Got some reference books but they are mainly on Java and html. The Java book was bought because my wife (yet again) "volunteered" me to do an online...

Re: Hi all and what a great site! ;)

LOL. Now I DO feel old! heh heh. I did a game for the Amiga back in 1995 and spent 6 months solid doing programming, graphics and sound and lost hours debugging hunched over a keyboard 24/7. I can't say I miss it although like I've mentioned in first post, I'd like to make time to learn php, etc, bu...
