How to show quick reply to guests?

How do you mean show quick reply to guests? Do you want codes to go in a template?

In order for guests to see the quick reply they would have to be able to post.

ACP / Permission tab / Forum permissions

I think if guests are allowed to post they will see the quick reply button if it's enabled in the ACP

The guests are able to post but they don't see quick reply.

Guests are specifically excluded from using the quick reply.

To allow it for quests:

Download, backup, and open /viewtopic.php

Find:

Code: Select all

if ($user->data['is_registered'] && $config['allow_quick_reply'] && ($topic_data['forum_flags'] & FORUM_FLAG_QUICK_REPLY) && $auth->acl_get('f_reply', $forum_id))

and remove:

Code: Select all

$user->data['is_registered'] &&

Save, upload, and prepare to be inundated with spam, because the normal anti-spam measures for guests do not apply to quick reply.
